City of Sinsheim
Goal
The city of Sinsheim has a high sustainability standard. Irrigation and plant management are one of the focal points here.
Planning reliability and resource optimization are the goals of this project. To achieve this, meaningful data must be available and evaluated.
Approach
Sensors were installed at 5 different locations (10 sensors) and the irrigation results were directly matched to the irrigation schedules. Afterwards, the moisture level was adjusted to further watering cycles.
Result
After installing the sensors, it became clear that the existing irrigation rhythms were not optimal and the current moisture levels were not sufficient. Irrigation schedule and application rates were changed and continue to be optimized. Initial results are very positive.
